A lot of people still hear “AI-generated code” and imagine blindly accepting code you don’t understand.

There is a huge knowledge gap here

That is not AI-assisted engineering
That is blind delegation

Professional AI use means defining the architecture, providing the right context, constraining the solution, verifying the behaviour and rejecting weak output.

You still understand the code.
You still control the quality.
You still own every decision.

AI does not replace engineering judgment.
It exposes how much of it you actually have.

Manual typing as the default is becoming a thing of the past.

Many engineers are still mistaking it for the work itself.

My husband quit his job and stayed home for 3 months. It wasn't like he was lounging around doing nothing—he was cooking, cleaning, and taking our daughter to daycare. My mom calls every week: "When's he going to get a job?" And his mom says: "Men have to work." And my friend says: "Aren't you worried he'll get used to sitting around?"

Everyone around me sees a man without a job. And I see a family, for the first time, sitting together and truly living..
