I’ll say it again. If the @NHL broadcasters offered a pbp and commentary free feed, where you just heard the game like you were at the arena, it would be so popular. This year both the play by play and commentary is just…lacking. @TSN_Sports @cbcsports @Sportsnet

@rwesthead I believe in innocence until convicted. At the same time, cover with a white sheet. If, (in my non legal, personal belief) he is somehow found innocent you remove, and it has some protection from vandalism (which I am sure will be attempted).

@Jacobstherapy @Sportsnet I don’t. And from what I read they aren’t sending him to the minors either. He is going to work with the coaches, which is … unique. I do believe he is a very good (not great) goalie, so I hope it’s not the end with the leafs for him.

@Jacobstherapy @Sportsnet He is very good when he is on his game. But the last five games he has been off. Like way off. Too deep in his net, and very busy (a goalie on his game moves little from the waist down until needed…Ilya has been all over). Time w the Marlies and a good goalie coach may help.

@Jacobstherapy @Sportsnet In short, yes. Any team can claim him off of waivers. But goalies are a position where most teams won’t gamble. I think he’s a very sound goalie, who needs to work on the psychology, as well as some fundamentals he’s gotten away from him.

@Jacobstherapy @Sportsnet They want to send him to the minors to work on his skills. Before they do that, they place him on waivers, which lets any other team take him to keep him in the nhl instead of being demoted to the AHL.
