Priming a Hitters Brain: An EEG and Smash Factor Study is officially out.
Step into the lab and learn about my most recent endeavor @DrivelineBB

Time to break this down. That ATHLETE was me. Averaging 80 MPH in the lab.
5 years removed from college ball, just 7 MPH off my peak. But the data tells a more interesting story than the number.
Let's dig into the tools @DrivelineBB uses to shape training and development 🧵
Learning about human growth and motor development is a certified high-yield topic for those in the performance field.
You can learn more from an infant or toddler than you think.
@TJHannam10 The harder you try, the more you think.
The more you think, the less information flows from the environment to the parts of your brain that dictate action.
@joshgessner While the stretch-shortening phase of plyometrics is incredibly useful for athletic outcomes, it’s also important to have a strong foundation of eccentric loading and concentric firing as to not overload stress and use this twitchiness through force output.
One of the most overlooked aspects of performance is the nervous system’s ability to adapt—both positively and negatively.
The sports world celebrates high performers and labels the tough cases as problems instead of asking why adaptation isn’t happening.
My training system—the Motor Blueprint—is available for baseball athletes looking for remote training.
Structured 6-week blocks, individualized programming, and long-term development.

Grip isn’t just forearm strength, it’s neural drive
In the #90MPHFormula we use the deadlift to test grip strength power and endurance.
Weak grip = neural fatigue
Strong grip = reduced UCL injury risk
What many overlook is a strong grip w/ inability to control spine.
This is lack of optimal authentic movement/strength capacity
Grip is a window into the nervous system, arm health, and systemic load tolerance
And here's a plyo-pushup for safe-keeping.
Ashtin is in a power phase as fall approaches, where he will then build throughout the offseason to be in prime shape for spring.
‼️@AshtinGilio spent 6 weeks @DrivelineBB and made some extremely impressive gains on the High Performance side‼️
Let's dive in, see what we aimed to work on, what he improved, and how he's preparing for this fall.🧵
These results are only possible when you trust the process, ask questions, and truly give your training everything.
Ashtin left his mark on Driveline, cementing his name in both the college CMJ and SJ height leaderboards.
Here's my challenge: come in, train, and knock him off.
