During college, we used to play counter-strike on weekend evenings, and our gaming session alerts went out over google chat. One weekend, I was setting up the session and pinged all the usual players except one friend who had just lost his father three days earlier.
As we were about to start, I got a message from him asking "If you guys are playing today, let me know, I will join in.”
We played for an hour or two. Afterwards, I messaged him saying I hadn’t expected him to join, and that it would’ve felt insensitive to even ask. He replied that this last one hour was the only time he felt like he wasn’t losing his mind in the past three days and he needed this.
Grief is personal. And everyone finds their own way to survive it.
Here’s wishing a Champion and a Half, a true inspiration for the young generation and beyond. Keep shining, keep boosting spirits on and off the field. Happy Birthday! @imVkohli God bless.
If you feel like you're bad at your job and it's making you depressed, just consider that, as the investigation of the recent heist revealed, the password to access the Louvre's videosurveillance system was "Louvre".
