I read a quote that said, “You can be the prettiest shade of green, but you’ll never be enough for someone whose favorite color is blue,” and it really stuck with me.
Feeling bad for this man doesn’t make you bad, it makes you human; something he failed to be. I don’t support violence, but I also won’t fake my empathy for a man who was outright homophobic, defended fascism, and treated lives lost to gun violence as expendable and "necessary".
