➡️ In order to further strengthen public safety and ensure effective enforcement of law & order, IGP Faridkot Range supervised a Special Checking Drive conducted across Faridkot and Moga districts.
During the drive, strategic nakabandi was established at key locations and vehicles were thoroughly checked, with a special focus on two-wheelers and suspicious movements. The initiative aims to prevent criminal activities, deter anti-social elements, and maintain peace and security in the region.
🔹 During the operation, IGP Faridkot Range also inspected various police stations and naka points, reviewed the ongoing checking arrangements, and issued necessary instructions to officers on duty to ensure effective implementation of the drive.

ਇਸ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਥਾਵਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਰਣਨੀਤਿਕ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਾਸ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਦੋ ਪਹੀਆ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ’ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਗਈ।
🔹 ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ IGP ਫਰੀਦਕੋਟ ਰੇਂਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਥਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਕਾ ਪੁਆਇੰਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਡਿਊਟੀ ’ਤੇ ਤੈਨਾਤ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ।

A meeting under the Sampark Programme was held at Sri Muktsar Sahib, where IGP Faridkot Range briefed the gathering regarding the initiative aimed at strengthening coordination between the police and the public.
The meeting was conducted on the directions of CM Punjab Shri Bhagwant Mann and DGP Punjab, with the participation of Sarpanches, VDC members, Mandi Association representatives and Trade Association members.
Key Objectives of the Sampark Programme:

🚨 Operation Prahaar | Faridkot Range Police
As part of Punjab Police’s flagship drive Operation Prahaar, Faridkot Range Police conducted a large-scale, coordinated operation against organized crime and criminal networks.
Within a span of 36 hours, 280 accused linked to organized criminal activities were rounded up, reaffirming the resolve of the police to act decisively against crime and its perpetrators.
Key outcomes of the operation:
🔹 02 A+ and B Category Gangsters arrested, along with their associates
🔹 03 illegal weapons recovered, along with 02 magazines and 24 live cartridges
🔹 64 grams of heroin recovered, along with recoveries under the Excise Act and arrest of accused persons
🔹 06 proclaimed offenders apprehended
🔹 1100+ police personnel deployed, under the supervision of Gazetted Officers from Faridkot, Moga, and Sri Muktsar Sahib

🔹 64 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਬਰਾਮਦ, ਇਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਬਕਾਰੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਅਧੀਨ ਵੀ ਬਰਾਮਦਗੀਆਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ
🔹 06 ਭਗੋੜੇ ਅਪਰਾਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ
🔹 1100 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਤਾਇਨਾਤੀ, ਫਰੀਦਕੋਟ, ਮੋਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਗਜ਼ਟਿਡ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਹੇਠ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ

In a major crackdown on trans-border smuggling, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (#ANTF), Border Range, in a joint operation with the Border Security Force (#BSF), recovers 19.980 Kg Heroin and apprehended four accused, including the key operative managing the supply chain.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused is linked to Pakistan-based handlers and was coordinating the delivery and distribution of drug consignments across the region.

An FIR has been registered under the NDPS Act, and the investigation is underway to identify cross-border handlers, trace supply routes, and dismantle the entire network.
