Ayra Starr understands music. She knows how to make seasonal music, and she doesn’t miss. I was genuinely worried about her transition to ROC Nation.
At first, it felt off, and I tweeted about it. The change in dressing style and the music at the time just didn’t feel like her brand, but I guess that is what growth is about. Growth is not always smooth, and it is not linear.
The same way Hot Body made waves last summer is the same way Tornado is going to make waves this summer. I just need them to push the song more. It has insane replay value and potential.
That line, “My body tea like Boba,” is a solid summer marketing line for the song. Her music has grown too.
