We will never forget.🤍
We remember those who were taken from our community in the Aberfan disaster on this day in 1966.
59 years may have passed, but we will never forget them.
Heath leaders must act to reduce dangerous and unacceptable 12-hour pre-admission A&E stays as new data reveals last month saw the highest number of these types of waits ever recorded.

Great to thank staff at Prince Charles in Merthyr, Royal Glamorgan in Llantrisant and Princess of Wales Bridgend, who are working hard to keep services running under great pressure.
I encourage anyone eligible for a flu jab to take up the opportunity, including NHS staff.

If you attend one of our EDs this New Year’s Eve you may face a long wait.
Our staff are working hard to care for very unwell patients. If your illnesses or injury is not an emergency it’s likely you’ll wait for several hours to be seen.

“Thank you to the Paediatric A&E team & staff at Prince Charles Hospital who treated my son with care, dignity and lots of praise after a biking accident - the ambulance crew, Jade the nurse, the doctor, the main triage nurse, the imaging staff and the porter."

Something free and genuinely useful you could do this World Mental Health Day is to share this information. You never know who might desperately need to see it. #NoMindLeftBehind@MindCharity
Following ongoing issues at POW with rain water entering through the roof, a survey has identified more serious damage that will require an extensive programme of repair. We are exploring all options to provide care in a safe environment.
All hospital sites in Wales are smoke free by law. This applies to everyone, including staff, patients, visitors and contractors.
Smoke free hospital grounds are an important part of protecting our staff, patients and becoming a smoke free nation.
@HelpMeQuitWales
Our emergency departments at RGH, PCH and POW are exceptionally busy today. The most seriously injured and ill patients are being prioritised. This means that, even if you are there before someone else, if you have a less serious condition, you will likely face an extended wait.
