@WestofthePecos2 It is truly unfortunate Dear Allen. 💔
And even more concerning when the sincerity of your kindness as a collector, who has graciously appreciated the work, is not received with the respect it deserves.
May your days be filled with happiness, and may your family always be well ❤️
Dear Artists,
Wishing you a joyful Saturday… Guess what? I’m feeling a bit upset and disappointed with some of my artists. Until now, I’ve tried to be flexible with the art community… but honestly, sometimes I feel hurt and even angry. I’m human just like you, and I need my personal space.
I feel the need to remind you of a few points once again:
1.When you enter my DM only to show me your artworks, you are crossing my personal boundaries. When you tag me in your posts, you are crossing my personal boundaries… Please understand that when you tag me, I’m forced to see all of your comments in addition to my own, and that is truly upsetting for me. Please don’t tag me in your posts and don’t enter my DMs just to show me your art 🙏
(I want to ask you very respectfully and sincerely: please honor my privacy as a human being)
2.I am very strict about copied artworks, and I will never purchase again from artists who copy. Once again, I have discovered more copying from artists I once thought very highly of. It's turned into a big disappointment to my heart.💔
3.Some artists constantly complain about why I don’t look at their artworks or leave negative comments. To me, this feels more like an attempt to buy emotions. My timeline as a collector is always crowded, and sometimes I even miss posts from close friends. So I think constant complaints about why I don’t see, like, or retweet your posts are a bit unfair. Do you really think complaining or being snarky in my comments is a good idea? Let me very clear, I will never buy your art again and most likely you will be blocked. This also goes to anyone that complains about me not buying or looking at your art only to discover I have noticed and bought your art! How many pieces is enough? This is very disrespectful, and it only shows your ungratefulness. Again, I'm a collector! I can buy what I want and as much or as little as I want. I don't tell you what art to create or how to create so kindly and respectfully, know your place! Most artists here are very kind, appreciative and respectful to me. Follow their lead as an example of being a descent human being.
4.Some artists expect me to buy their artwork simply because they spent a lot of time on it. I respect the time, emotion, and effort an artist puts into their artwork, but that alone is not a reason for me to purchase; unless the piece truly resonates with me. Again, I feel this is a kind of guilt-tripping for a purchase, which is unfair.
5.During the Christmas holidays, I will also be absent, because I need time to be with my family. Thank you for understanding 🫂
6. AI Art: I love AI art but, the pricing is overinflated on most artists collections. I can give comparisons from honest pricing to just trying to dig into my wallet.
I understand I can make offers but, I would also like to see some integrity on how the art is priced as well.
*Finally, I ask you: before you decide to do anything, put yourself in the other person’s shoes and ask whether this behavior would feel hurtful if it were directed at you. This way, you can treat those around you more fairly*
With gratitude and appreciation, West Texas

Let their doubts and insults become the fuel for your art. The true value of your work is not defined by the voices that belittle it, but by your courage to keep creating. ❤️
