Body just dey pepper me on a Friday morning!
When we talk about boundaries in marriage every day, people will say we sound like a broken record.
But as a married man or woman, why are you sexually cruising with the opposite gender? For what exactly? Call me sensitive or uptight, but honestly, that is gutter behaviour.
A married friend told me something in 2023 that has stayed with me: “Never think you have outgrown temptation. You will shock yourself.”
Even the Bible says FLEE from temptation. It’s not just about running away. It’s also about setting strong boundaries and knowing when to step back.
Because sometimes, all the devil needs is one tiny crack… and o ti wole lese kese! 😩
Please, married men and women, never think you have outgrown temptation. You are still human. Protect your marriage.
Stop entertaining unnecessary conversations, emotional connections and sexual banter with the opposite gender. No go test your papa or mama oh 🫠…..Wo!!!!
And remember, even when a spouse forgives cheating, the consequences can linger. Trust may take years to rebuild or broken forever, and the “cheater” tag can follow a person for a very long time even to their grave.
Set boundaries before temptation gives you a reason to explain yourself like that married man on X 😩😣
Because when the chips are down, you fit fall like that very IJESHAtedo pr&&q. 😭
y’all think being a provider starts & ends with money 😭 baby money can pay bills, it cannot provide emotional safety, leadership, consideration or consistency.
Even if I love you deeply, never mistake my love for an excuse to disrespect me. I can care about you with my whole heart and still choose to walk away when the relationship starts costing me my peace, self-respect, or happiness. Love has limits when respect disappears.
when i think about marrying someone, i try to mentally remove all the things that can impress you at first glance. take away the money, the face, the car, the clothes, the career, the status. what’s left? is he dependable when nobody is watching? does he know how to be gentle? does he keep his word? does he know how to care for someone when caring becomes inconvenient? because there will eventually be nights when neither of you looks glamorous. there will be exhaustion, sick children, sleepless nights, postpartum recovery, bills and moments where everyone is running on empty. that’s when character becomes louder than appearance. i want the kind of husband who sees that i’m exhausted, gets up without being asked and says, “go back to sleep, i’ve got this.” those quiet acts of care are the things that make a marriage feel like home.
