@Kent_999s Incident happened at approx 11:45. Didn't see it happen but certainly heard it. Child taken the hospital via air ambulance. Helicopter arrived at 12:29, left at 13:35. Road still cordoned off at the moment

@MikeHolt95 @tchamp4 @RuneScape It sounds like they do not have an active-active or even active-passive solution. It sounds like the recovery site is an offline version that needs restoring from latest backup. This would likely mean failback would also be a manual process.

@tchamp4 @RuneScape Actually, they said they opted NOT to do that. But this still suggests it's a manual process. Not active-active, doesn't even sound like it's active-passive. Sounds like they've got a set of servers offline waiting to be restored & brought online which is not great.

@YourMuthr @RuneScape Backups are a recovery solution, not redundancy. I'm not saying the power outage is Jagex's fault, but the lack of redundant infrastructure is a Jagex issue. They should really have an active-active pair so that when one goes down, the other takes the load.
