You're probably shocked by now, so let's see how we did it, so you can too:
The entire thing comes down to a color profile buried in the file: Rec2020 with a PQ transfer curve. If that means nothing to you, it's the HDR spec built for Dolby Vision, the one that lets a movie encode a candle flame and a nuclear blast in the same frame. It goes up to 10,000 nits of brightness.

Nobody uses that for a logo. We did.

The dark part of the mark sits down around 60 nits, totally ordinary. The white gets pushed to 4,000+. Your laptop paints "white" everywhere else at maybe 200 nits, so when it hits ours it has to physically throw more light at that one spot on the panel. Fifty times more. That's not a design choice your eye can politely ignore. It kind of stings, and the stinging is the point.

Screenshot it and the magic is gone. On any non-HDR screen it collapses into a boring purple blob. The whole effect only lives in the moment, on the actual hardware in your hand, which means most people never work out what hit them. They just feel the logo yank their eyes over and don't know why.

לדעתי הבעיה של רוב אנשי המרקטינג ה״טובים״ זה שהם מתבססים על פלייבוק שעבד להם פעם (אולי פעמיים בעבר) והם מניחים שהם יכולים להשתמש בו בכל קונטקסט ובכל חברה. לא רק שזה לא נכון בפני עצמו אלא גם שהפלייבוק שעבד להם פעם כנראה לא רלוונטי בהינתן כל השינויים של השנה שנתיים האחרונות. כיף גדול
