If you claim to be one of العوام (al-‘awām i.e, laypeople), then do not speak like a scholar. Even the طلاب العلم (ṭullāb al-ʿilm i.e, students of knowledge) are CAUTIOUS and careful with their speech.

Perhaps a better way to word it would be,”Marriage is a way to control desires but the spouses must also honour each other’s rights.” That said, marriage is the only way a Muslim can keep their desires in check.
