Que noticia más triste. Murió el ciclista colombiano Cristian Camilo Muñoz de 30 años. Tras un accidente en el Tour du Jura en Francia, fue atendido en un centro médico de una herida en la rodilla izquierda al llegar a Oviedo, pero todo se complicó por una infección. Hacia parte desde 2024 del equipo Nu Colombia.

Conti colombienne (3e division), l'équipe Nu Colombia était venue en Europe pour disputer plusieurs courses. La formation s'est retirée du Tour des Asturies ce vendredi.

Soigné à un genou, Cristian Munoz avait fait le déplacement en Asturies, où son infection a été détectée.

Cristian Munoz (Nu Colombia) est mort à 30 ans. Hospitalisé après une chute lors du Tour du Jura samedi dernier, le Colombien a contracté une septicémie.

Vainqueur d'une étape sur le Giro Espoirs en 2018, il avait évolué au sein d'UAE Emirates entre 2019 et 2021.

But this one will be special. You didn’t just win for us, but also for your former teammate and friend Michael Goolaerts, who lost his life during this iconic race in 2018.

The emotions afterwards said enough. Your words spoke volumes. For 258 kilometers, your thoughts were with Michael, his family, and all your former teammates. 💛
