Just watched I swear on Netflix - So good, I can't recommend this film highly enough. Funny and heartbreaking in equal measure. Following the Bafta fuck up, I just hope John, Michael and Delroy can meet up in person for a chat.
Bruce Springsteen on Trump: “I couldn't care less what he thinks about me. He's the living personification of what the 25th Amendment and impeachment were for. If Congress had any guts, he'd be consigned to the trash heap of history."
RETWEET if you stand with @Springsteen!
Legendary Singer Neil Young has removed all his albums from Amazon Music due to founder Jeff Bezos and his support for Donald Trump.
RETWEET to thank @NeilYoung for standing up for our democracy!
BREAKING: Music legend Bruce Springsteen just released this incredible song that will be sure to piss Trump off beyond belief.
“Streets of Minneapolis”.
He wrote this song about Alex Pretti and Renée Good Saturday and recorded it yesterday.
Share it far and wide and play it as loud as you can
My fav part of London's New Year's Eve 2026 celebration was the scene with The Lionesses 👏
Followed by: This Is England
"Caribbean barbers with the sharpest trims
Christian neighbours saying happy Hannukah mate
And Muslim mums saying merry Christmas love
England is about loving each other
No matter what colour you are
Where you're from
Or who your God is
This is England
This is the United Kingdom"
Hope over fear, unity over division.
As we head into 2026, our New Year’s fireworks lit up the skies with a clear message about the importance of togetherness.
Hope you enjoyed the show 🎉✨♥️ ⬇️
Right to Buy didn’t “give people freedom”. It turned Britain into a landlord economy and handed the wealth of a whole generation to private investors.
We sold off the public homes our parents paid to build. We never replaced them. Now we spend £23bn a year subsidising private landlords because councils have no stock.
That is the real housing crisis:
🏚️ 1.3 million families on waiting lists
💸 £23bn in Housing Benefit draining into private pockets
🚨 £1.7bn on emergency accommodation
💥 soaring rents
🚫 no security
📉 no affordable homes
This wasn’t an accident.
It was a political choice, the same model of privatisation and asset-stripping that gave us:
• water companies dumping sewage
• energy companies price-gouging
• farmland on the brink
• the IHT farm tax
• and a country that now pays more to “manage poverty” than to prevent it
Britain’s housing market didn’t break on its own.
It was dismantled - brick by brick - by Thatcherism, deregulation and governments who sold the future to balance the books in the present.
We are still living in the ruins.
@ThePianoUK I loved, loved, loved Mia. What a talent. Her performance, both playing and singing, was outstanding. The look of pride in her parents' faces stood out for me. I look forward to seeing what she does next as I hope Mia continues and develops into an amazing artist. 🎹💖🎤🎼🎶💖
