This was our campus Lemonade Day for 2 days of Field Day! Our 5th graders did an awesome job earning profits for end-of-the-year celebrations https://t.co/Ylg0edKCu4
Students at #DallasISD's Paul L. Dunbar Learning Center learned business and leadership skills by participating in Lemonade Day. Several district schools have operated lemonade stands (https://t.co/jmm8MJRhVt). @DunbarLCLibrary @LemonadeDayDAL
@Jacksongisd @DrJerryRBurkett @Jacksongisd and #UNTDEDLEAD Shannon, you make a great point with preparing the students so they can perform well. I also think that if we observe them closely, we will learn what sparks their interests and really get them engaged in learning!
@DrJerryRBurkett @ #UNTDEDLEAD Q4: As a Change Agent, you have the autonomy to put systems in place that will be effective and improve the campus' academic and SEL structure. The role of a campus leader requires innovation and consistent improvement. Leaders have to challenge their practices.
@DrJerryRBurkett @ #UNTDEDLEAD A3: I believe that certain boundaries should be set to support confidentiality amongst staff, parents, and students. I feel that a sense of "micro managing" would effect the staff. I think that movement in the hallways and greetings and salutations are a must.
@DrJerryRBurkett @ #UNTDEDLEAD A3: A visible leader is involved on their campus. They are hands-on, a collaborator, and team player. There are more face-to-face interactions and communications going on. The students can easily identify who their campus Principal is.
@DrJerryRBurkett @#UNTDEDLEAD A2: The culture of a school should support the vision. A leader must establish buy-in in which will produce like-minded people. This practice will ensure that all have the same intent with the cultue running synonymous with the campus mission and vision.
@DrJerryRBurkett @#UNTDEDLEAD A2: Culture deals with shared ideas, values, and beliefs, which put plans in place for the mission towards the vision. The climate can be based on experiences and can possibly change the attitudes of others at times; therefore, it can be contingently based.

@DrJerryRBurkett @UNTDallas @#UNTDEDLEAD A1: Affirmation is important because the campus leader brings awareness to matters that effect the school, good or bad; so that campus-wide it can build positive relationships and support collaboration to set goals and meet them.

@DrJerryRBurkett @UNTDEdLead #UNTDEdLead @DrJerryRBurkett Q2: The beliefs that I feel will support my leadership style is that I am a lifelong student. I am always open to learning and growing. I believe in paying it forward, as well as supporting ambitious individuals.
@DrJerryRBurkett @UNTDEdLead #UNTDEdLead @DrJerryRBurkett Q1: Beliefs are a persons' morals and what they value as individuals personally. Belief is a mindset, while behavior is action. Behavior can be triggered by beliefs. Although different, they are somewhat be connected.
@Jacksongisd #UNTDEdLead @Jacksongisd I like the idea of showing that you value your staff. I feel that people respect doer-type leaders and not just talkers. So if we expect them to give 150%, we should do double.
@manewton0728 #UNTDEdLead @manewton0728 I agree with you Athena about checking in with my personnel and communicating with them to demonstrate that I care. Although I will hold everyone accountable, I will be a supportive leader and hold myself accountable for the way I lead my school overall.
@MariaGGuzmn2#UNTEdLead@MariaGGuzmn2 I like the idea of connecting with the interest of the staff. I believe that it's more engaging and will foster more involvement and relationship building.
@DrJerryRBurkett #UNTDEdLead Q2: I will build relations with my staff by creating a bond of mutual respect and trust. I plan to be transparent and an empathic thinker. I will support the needs of my staff and be a hands-on leader. I will be a visible force and proactive in promoting the vision.
