@HarvardWinters Thanks for the kinds words about my book — and my apologies for the v slow reply. I knew of Ed Aboodi of course but never interviewed him, alas. (I think he left when Levin took over TW?)
@UnniKarunakara@HajdTmea1 @FerencLaczo Good question. I’m just pleased the book has been published there — but I do wonder if we’re preaching to the converted. Hoping my Hungarian colleagues on this tweet have a more optimistic take for you.
I spoke to @HajdTmea1 about my family, the Hungarian Holocaust, the book I am writing now, and the re-edition of my great uncle's seminal book of 1947 edited by @FerencLaczo, László Csősz & Kata Bohus. https://t.co/4BYfGdbTOy
It is always an honor to speak to @mattcone2’s class about my book. Thanks for having me, and thanks to @CHSJaguars students for the terrific questions.
Thanks to the great @ninamunk for answering questions from @CHSJaguars students about her book, The Idealist. This book provoked important discussions in our class and it was a treat to speak with her.
@KingJames Hey. I can help. My father, Peter Munk, was the founder of Clairtone Sound Corp., I wrote the book on the company, and I own an original G2. Happy to connect you to the best restoration people out there. Be sure to get it done right; G2s are fragile! https://t.co/uugnJbleUy
@jghaines@jeshthak Clearly not, no. The point though is that the mudslinging, the big egos, the hubris, the showboating of rich white men (even while people continue to be trapped by extreme poverty) is all very reminiscent of my book The Idealist.
This so reminds me of the megalomania that Jeffrey Sachs once brought to this whole game.
Might pick up this insanely brilliant book called 'The idealist' by @ninamunk, which cautiously & not so pessimistically tells us how the larger goals often get mired in personality wars.
“The disastrous merger of Time Warner and AOL epitomizes the culture of corporate America and Wall Street in the late 1990s where, as long as a company’s stock price kept going up and up, a CEO was all-powerful, like a king with a divine right.”

@VanityFair Dear VF, Those hundreds of hours of interviews were conducted by a journalist with a name. That would be me. Please give me a credit when you post my work. Sincerely yours,
On May 5, at @Liberation_75 , the world's largest gathering of #Holocaust survivors & descendants, I will moderate a conversation between survivor Max Eisen and scholar @FerencLaczo. Virtual, free, and open to all. Register at https://t.co/vhkhJzk55k
Think @ninamunk (author of one of my favorite business books ever, "Fools Rush In," about AOL Time Warner) could write a good book about what's going on with GameStop, AMC, Nokia, etc.
