During the past 10 days @KhartoumKitchen has returned close to 2,000 displaced people who couldn’t afford the journey, back to their homes in Khartoum State. These are some of today’s arrivals.

She also mentioned that the camp is full of people with chronic illnesses and no aid has reached them in this regard,She is asking for help with the sewage [2]

We have begun distributing meals to the families who fled from Sinja to Qadarif in Eastern Sudan after their town was attacked.

In this disused bus shelter alone, there are over 1,000 families taking refuge. Our Khartoum Aid Kitchen initiative was setup with the primary aim of preventing hunger and famine in Khartoum State. However, the scale of the humanitarian crisis in other parts of Sudan has led us to expand our work.

There are 25 million people suffering acute hunger in Sudan and 10 million displaced, yet international aid is only a trickle. That’s why grassroots initiatives like ours are critical in keeping people alive. If you are able to donate to help us continue our work then please click on the link.

Most regular businesses in Khartoum State have stopped operating because of the war; so it was quite a challenge for us to find somewhere to print clothing for our Kitchen Managers, General Managers and Army of volunteers; so we are very pleased to have finally found a printing shop to do it.

Almost 20,000 people a day are currently dependent on our kitchens to avoid experiencing severe malnutrition and hunger. We receive no NGO or government support and are completely dependent on your kind donations to continue this vital work.
