If you are handing out candies this year, please consider the children (and adults) with life threatening nut allergies. Set aside a separate bowl or just ask when someone comes to your door. It can mean so much to someone who otherwise has to be careful themselves! (3)

I grew up with two younger brothers that have severe nut allergies, and it required a lot of lifestyle adjustment, but we got used to it. Unfortunately, we couldn’t expect other people to be as mindful because there just wasn’t enough out there about it for them to be aware. (1)

Every year around halloween, I think about the kids who go trick or treating and have to sort through their candies after to make sure they don’t eat any with nuts. Or those who don’t go at all for the same fear. (2)
