Ten years ago, Modi announced a Bullet Train project connecting Mumbai and Ahmedabad by 2022. This was hailed as Modi's ultimate vision, and everyone blamed Congress for not bringing Bullet Trains to India.
Ten years later, it is only 30% complete, and the revised deadline is now 2028. Let's not debate whether we need a bullet train or not. Instead, let's analyze the financials of the project and see how it is going to be the biggest liability for the country once launched, if and when that happens. (1/n)
