@DPearsonPHL Frequency is generally fine except for regional rail. 1 hour headways makes any kind of transfer difficult and really inhibits a casual user from taking advantage.
@dr3amoperator There's a con to it though. The one side gossips more but also has a much better handle on emotions and social support and the other side simply doesn't discuss anything ever even when they really should.
@dr3amoperator It extends to a lot of things. I get the summary from my partners girls group chat and they discuss everything. Whereas guys from the same social circle will be told something is need to know only and keep that confidence indefinitely.
Because a decent chunk of Real Estate in this country relies on cheap gas.
Its only accessible via car, and because of its low density its built far away from real job centers. This means that the value of these properties would tank if the price of gas/energy rises to the point where commuting from these places costs more than the saved value of moving out here to own these homes
@RaineyOvalle It's a really simple litmus test. You listen to a track, you go 'would my partner/ex ever write something like this about me' and if the answer is yes you shut the fuck up and fix your shit.
@Nairobifatlover@Boenau For every person that chooses walk/bike/transit thats one less car putting travel lanes over capacity (better for necessary car trips, deliveries, etc.). If some further choose to not own a car you also reduce parking congestion and parking needs.
@Nairobifatlover@Boenau The point is it's functionally not possible to make it easy. Between parking and travel lanes there will never be enough space for each individual to own and use a car for every single journey. We need to invest in non-car travel modes to alleviate this.
@fleshsimulator Cosign the portable jump and air compressor. Easy maint and I've rescued like a dozen people with the jump, way easier than cables. Plus doubles as an emergency power brick for phones. I would add to the car kit rainx. Absurd difference when driving in bad weather.
@ShabazzStuart@Amtrak I really believe Amtrak would do better creating some kind of flat fare for non-peak hour NEC trains. We might might lose the random 10 dollar Philly-NYC late nights but at least it would be predictable
Call it a hot tub. Call it a jacuzzi. Call it OVER for the tons of snow piling up on our streets!
Our snow melters are out and operational in all five boroughs.
We bring snow from streets to central locations where melters turn the snow to water, giving us all a little more space.
Iโve seen several people make this point, but it bears repeating: a staggering number of Americans are about to realize that the government had the capacity to help them all along simply chose not to, because those in power did not prioritize their lives or well-being.
A heartfelt thank you to all the talent both in front, behind the scenes and the fans who made this years Tournament Of Death the JobberRadio Tournament of The Year for the second year in a row!
@josh_metcalf Wish it was faster but it's dope for getting down the shore. Brought a bike several times, great for buzzing down through the shore towns.
