It's an exciting time for Uganda’s capital markets. Pension funds continue to expand, with @nssfug declaring its highest interest rate in five years at 13.5% and growing its assets to UGX 20 trillion, maintaining its position as the largest fund by value in East Africa. Unit trusts are gaining traction as a savings channel for many Ugandans, with assets under management surpassing UGX 3.5 trillion. Government of Uganda bonds continue to dominate, accounting for 62.1% of total assets under management. These numbers reflect a maturing market with real opportunities for investors and the broader economy.
As Uganda’s capital markets evolve, how are you positioning your investments to take advantage of these opportunities? At Absa, we’re proud to support investors with trusted custody solutions, helping you navigate this growing market with confidence.

My priority goal for 2024 is to become a better human being in body, mind and energy coupled with enhancing my response ability aka responsibility. So help me God.🙏🙏
