This clarification only exposes a deeper problem—students are being evaluated based on undisclosed “examiner guidelines” that are never shared publicly.
•You expect students to follow criteria they are never informed about, and then justify mark deductions in the name of format and presentation. Interestingly NONE OF AS/INDAS SPECIFIES any FORMAT. THEN WHY SUCH DEDUCTIONS?
•Let’s be clear—this reflects a serious lack of transparency and accountability in the evaluation system.
•Students prepare based on declared syllabus, RTPs, and suggested answers, not on hidden marking schemes known only to examiners.
•Calling this “step-wise marking” while allowing such deductions is misleading, as marks are effectively reduced without prior disclosure.
•This creates scope for subjective interpretation, where different examiners may apply different standards to similar answers.
•If such deductions are truly part of the system, why are they not explicitly communicated in advance to all candidates?
•Without transparency, there is no way to ensure consistency across lakhs of answer sheets.
•Before advising students to improve presentation, ICAI should ensure its own evaluation process is clear, fair, and uniformly applied.

As it stands, this approach raises serious concerns about whether answer sheets are being assessed with the objectivity and rigor students deserve.

Serious concern raised by CA students regarding evaluation in Jan 2026 examinations.

It has been observed that in certain cases, students have written answers exactly matching the concepts and points covered in ICAI RTP / suggested approach, yet marks have not been awarded accordingly.

We sincerely request the Examination Committee to kindly:

1️⃣ Review the evaluation standards to ensure uniformity and fairness across all answer sheets.
2️⃣ Consider giving due credit where students have presented technically correct and conceptually aligned answers.
3️⃣ Provide greater transparency in the marking approach to maintain students’ confidence in the examination system.

We trust that ICAI will address this matter sensitively in the larger interest of students and the profession.

Why should a RAC passenger bear full charge for 50% of a side lower seat? Isn't it unfair?

Once the chart is prepared, Railways must refund 50% of the fare with interest for RAC passengers. The same source of payment can be used for the refund.

Pls implement this immediately. I see many ladies and senior citizens who travel by RAC, without sleep and they pay full charge.

If any of you reading this feel that this should be implemented immediately, comment with your thoughts and share until Railways makes it a fair deal for passengers.

This is long long overdue.

Dear Jio,

Two Suggestions:

- Most Indians have Wifi access. Senior Citizens use Wifi mostly. Please provide an affordable 1 GB per day plan with options to choose (28 days onwards). Also a yearly plan.

- Provide affordable Voice only plans for less than ₹100 every month. Anything above this is forcing people to take data, even if they don't need it.

There are many who use only voice and also less than 1 GB per day. Need inclusive plans. Let users decide.

Never trust Jio network @JioCare or their fiber connection @reliancejio. “Worst” is an understatement. First 3 months they impress you — then starts the nightmare. If you do WFH, you’re gone for a toss with this sh*tty service that takes weeks to fix. #JioFiber #Chennai

Biggest mistake was opting for a Jio WiFi connection @JioCare.If we miss paying even a single month’s subscription, they disconnect it instantly,but when it comes to service, it barely works 80% of the time!
