My humble appeal to Millennials and Gen Z:
We have seen how a determined generation of young people can bring even the most powerful governments to their knees. It is a reminder that the real strength of any democracy lies in the power of its people.
At the same time, many celebrities, influencers, sports icons and movie stars chose to remain silent instead of standing with the youth and students of this country. Whether out of fear, caution, or self-interest, their SILENCE spoke volumes.
The next time we stand in a queue to buy a movie ticket, a match ticket or subscribe to a content creator, let us pause for a moment and ask ourselves:-
Does this person truly represent the values I believe in? Have they stood by the people who made their success possible?
If those who enjoy our applause cannot find the courage to stand with the people when it matters most, then maybe it’s time we rethink who deserves our applause.
Who we follow is our choice.
Who we celebrate is our choice.
Who we make famous is our choice.
Remember:
The audience gave them FAME.
The people gave them INFLUENCE.
The youth gave them RELEVANCE.
When history calls for courage, silence is never neutral - it is a choice.
Every ticket you buy.
Every view you give.
Every like, share, follow and cheer- They are not just clicks or purchases, they are ENDORSEMENTS.
Spend your attention as carefully as you spend your money.
Because if they cannot stand with us when it matters most, why should we continue to stand behind them?
#NEET #StudentsProtest
A minor girl from Memari, West Bengal, was ABDUCTED AND GANG-RAPED.
A MINOR GIRL.
In @BJP4India ruled #Bengal.
Ever heard of such a sharp rise in atrocities against women and girls in the past 15 years? NO.
Because BJP enables rape, garlands rapists. Their promises of Nari Suraksha are HOLLOW.
Will civil society, influencers, artists and so-called activists raise their voices now?
Or their political agendas have already been served?

I have stood firmly with the students and their movement from the very beginning. Their fight is not just for justice in the NEET scam- It is a fight to protect the future of every young Indian.
The brutal crackdown by the Delhi Police on peaceful protesters is deeply disturbing and utterly unacceptable. Students were mercilessly beaten, lathi-charged, fired upon with pellet guns and subjected to tear gas simply for demanding accountability.
So fearful is the Union Government of a peaceful democratic movement that it reportedly suspended internet services in and around Jantar Mantar and invoked the draconian National Security Act (NSA) to carry out preventive detentions of students- The very future of our nation.
The Prime Minister speaks of zero tolerance towards corruption and promises strict accountability. Yet, only yesterday, the CBI stated that it found no evidence against the alleged kingpin in the 2024 NEET paper leak case. If those accused of destroying the future of lakhs of students continue to escape accountability, who is the government really protecting? Why is it so desperate to shield the Education Minister instead of answering the questions being raised by students across the country?
The entire Opposition, along with the entire nation, stands firmly with our students and youth. I salute every young Indian for their indomitable spirit, unwavering courage, and refusal to bow before lathis, intimidation or the abuse of state power.
India is proud of you all.
Unacceptable abuse of power.
Additional DCP Sandeep Lamba must be suspended immediately for hitting a female protester. High-ranking officers should be held to higher standards, not given impunity.
The extraordinary gathering at Birla Planetarium today reflects the enduring spirit of #ShahidDibas.
As we remember the martyrs of 1993, we reaffirm our commitment to the values they stood for and the people they inspired.
With courage, conviction, and the people's faith, we shall continue to move forward.
Remembering the martyrs of 1993, with profound respect and gratitude, on #ShahidDibas.
Their supreme sacrifice remains etched in our collective memory and continues to inspire generations to stand steadfast in defence of democracy, justice and the rights of the people.
Their legacy lives on in our purpose, our principles and our unwavering commitment to serving the people.
#ShahidDibas is not merely a day of remembrance, it is a solemn reaffirmation of our enduring commitment to democracy, justice, and the rights of the people.
As we honour the martyrs of 1993, we pay tribute to their extraordinary courage and sacrifice. Their legacy continues to inspire us to stand firm in the face of adversity and remain unwavering in our resolve to serve the people.
On #ShahidDibas, I pay my heartfelt tributes to the martyrs who tragically lost their lives in 1993.
May this day strengthen the resolve of every member of the Maa-Mati-Manush family to uphold democracy, justice, and the rights of the people.
Their sacrifice continues to inspire us, and their legacy will forever remain at the heart of our movement.
PM @narendramodi tell your police to stand down. We are a democracy in case you have forgotten. The whole world is watching as you’re trying to crush a democratic and peaceful protest.
I have been telling this for years. Asking Ayurveda practitioners to drop the "Dr." from their titles because they are really not doctors and definitely not competent healthcare practitioners and now the apex court is also saying it 🤷
Deeply concerned about Sonam Wangchuk's health and well-being. He asked only for dialogue, yet his appeal has been met with silence for weeks. In a democracy, peaceful dissent deserves engagement, not silence.
His voice has been ignored, just as the voices of countless young Indians continue to be ignored.
He should be allowed to be shifted to a private hospital, with citizens free to bear the cost if needed. Public trust is earned through transparency, accountability, and respect for democratic rights - not by suppressing peaceful protests or refusing dialogue.
A GOVERNMENT THAT TREATS DISSENT AS A THREAT INSTEAD OF A DEMOCRATIC OBLIGATION CANNOT DEMAND TRUST WHILE EVADING ACCOUNTABILITY.
As the chariots roll forward, may our lives also move ahead with faith, positivity and purpose.
Heartfelt greetings to all on the auspicious occasion of #RathYatra.
Joy Jagannath! 🙏🏼
The silence surrounding the brutal five-day gang-rape of an innocent 13-year-old girl by 30 men in Ganganagar is absolutely deafening.
There are no protests, no mainstream news broadcasts and no trending topics on X for an act so monstrous.
It raises a disturbing question: is the public and media look the other way purely because this happened under a BJP administration?
Everything is allowed under BJP watch?
BJP worker Kalidas Pal of village Jamalpur openly standing, inciting mob to attack me for (of all things) marrying an Odia… at least I’m going to bed smiling. @MohanMOdisha@BJP4Odisha@WBPolice
