I beg to disagree.
INDIA's decision to name & boycott hate-mongers is both ethically right and politically smart.
In fact, opposition should go further:
1.Ask their well wishers to boycott these achors (so, no surrogate panelists).
2. Name and shame owners of these channels.

I must add that I respect @IndianExpress editorials, including this one. Many respected journalists including Karan Thapar and Ruben Banerjee have also questioned the decision to boycott. None of them hold a brief for these "TV anchors with hateful tongues, on bended knees". Their caution should be heard respectfully. But they do not persuade me.

1. To call this "intolerance" is wrong. The opposition is not censoring them or putting them in jail. Refusing to collaborate in their circus is no intolerance.
2. Drawing hard lines may lead to further polarisation, but bipolarity is better than a uni polar media that already exists.
3. Public messaging is vital and is better than discreet boycott, for it would actually be more effective and put the pressure on the rest of the media. This list should be small, but enforced very rigorously.
