With $5 in hand, our young entrepreneurs stepped into the roles of buyers and sellers, trading goods, making choices, and discovering firsthand how markets work. Big lessons. Smart spending. @NISD

The 2026 Citizenship Challenge is open! Students in grades 3-12 can submit an original question they believe should be added to the US Citizenship exam. Winners receive a $500 prize!

This may just look like dirt and a bell pepper, but 5th graders at @NISDGlass are doing a hands-on Social Studies lesson focused on scientific technology. They explored the importance of inventions like the steel plow and the cotton gin. @NISD

Talk about a blast from the past! ✨ Amelia Earhart showed up in person at @NISDGlass! Second grade students had a hands-on, in-person adventure learning about her through primary sources and a read-aloud. History came to life with our Costume Closet! @NISD
