Anyone calling pure veg food discriminatory or bigotry should be questioned about their perspective on this practice :

To call a food Halal, animals must be sIaughtered in accordance with IsIamic Law. Only an adult MusIim can sIaughter, and the phrase “BismiIIah” should be invoked immediately before the sIaughter of each animal.

All Halal foods must be isolated from non-Halal food to prevent contamination. If a Halal food comes in contact with Haram food, it too turns Haram.

To maintain Halal standards, cooking utensils, pots, and pans must not be contaminated by any food considered Haram. It is safe to have a separate set of Halal kitchen instruments.
