A shopkeeper Mukesh in Bengaluru was assaulted by 6 goons (Suleman, Shahnawaz, Rohit, Danish, Tarun and unknown) over the sound of loudspeaker ( As mentioned in the written complaint copy filed by Mukesh). DCP confirmed that Police arrested Suleman, Shah Nawaz and Rohit of the 6 accused. He also mentioned that Suleman has two more previous cases registered against him for assault. When asked if it was due to the playing of Hanuman Chalisa during Azaan, Police said, “Though it is not mentioned in the written complaint by the victim, we are investigating the claim”.
However, while speaking to a News Channel later, Mukesh did mention that he was beaten up by Suleman, Shahnawaz, Rohit and others for playing Hanuman Chalisa during Azaan.
Let's hope all the accused are arrested.
