India will face its toughest time since independence in the coming years. But if the govt launches a campaign to make Indians considerate of each other, trustful of each other, and benevolent to each other, it will bless the country with a kavach to protect it from adversaries.
Dhoni gave some really solid, straightforward advice. If you haven’t heard it yet, definitely give it a listen. It’s not just for Gen Z, but for people of all ages. This advice is especially relevant in today’s time.
She theatrically waved her hands to deflect. Her colleagues conspired to shut India down...
"BUT WHO CREATED THE PROBLEM?"
With that one line opening NDA minister Piyush Goyal gives a master class to censorious, patronizing Europeans on climate double standards and their sneaky way of blaming "those developing countries" for the climate mess they themselves created.
IT'S GREAT TO SEE INDIA IS NO JUST A PARTICIPANT AT THE GLOBAL HIGH TABLE BUT IS CONFIDENTLY HOLDING ITS OWN.
They tried to do a hit job on India's stock markets yesterday.
They spread fake news and panic via X by very prominent US handles, saying the "Indian market crashed" showing a heatmap of all Indian stocks in red.
The Indian stock markets were not even open then. Today the Indian indices showed a big Indian finger to these small losers. Ruh roh.
We have an 8000 year-old culture to showcase and yet while one city - Paris - attracts 25 million foreign tourists a year, an entire country - India - gets 11 million. We haven’t plucked the lowest-hanging fruit. We are watching it rot.
My views on tourism, on World Tourism Day:
Nothing great in life can be achieved without Discipline.
You can have knowledge, you can have skills, but without Discipline, you won't go far.
Discipline & Patience is what separates most in a field.
Nothing else matters.

Maybe it resonated because family vacations have quietly become another project to manage—flights, itineraries, kids, logistics, expectations.
We spend months waiting for a vacation… and sometimes come back needing another one.
This needs urgent attention, @PMOIndia@narendramodi. These people who are doing more than their duty as citizens should be rewarded, and the officials who have failed to do theirs despite all the state’s resources should be penalised!
Many years ago, I bought a TV for around ₹20,000 from an electronics shop on Rajpur Road, Dehradun.
The shop owner insisted on cash, explaining that if I paid by debit card, he would have to charge me an extra percentage to cover the transaction fee. Not knowing any better at the time, I simply went to an ATM, withdrew the cash, and completed the purchase.
With time, I realized what was actually happening: the shopkeeper was trying to pass the Merchant Discount Rate (MDR), the processing fee merchants are supposed to pay on digital transactions, onto me. By paying cash, I unintentionally avoided that extra charge.
Now, with the government introducing policy changes to allow MDR on UPI transactions, I wonder how this will play out for everyday consumers. Given that many businesses in India operate on thin margins, why would merchants absorb this cost rather than pass it along to customers, just like that shop owner did years ago? And if they do pass it on, why wouldn't consumers just switch back to cash to avoid paying a fee on the merchant's behalf? How can the government effectively ensure that merchants bear the MDR cost instead of passing it down to buyers?
Amazing achievement by @SkyrootA and their team. Proud moment for not just them but all Indians. Feedback: Skyroot, next time please get a live feed, overlay launch parameters and better commentary. Make the launch look as cool and slick as it really is.

I was fourteen, walking home from school in Paris with my French-American friend. Summer was around the corner and the heat was relentless.
‘You must be used to this heat,’ she said.
‘Not really,’ I replied. ‘We lived in the hills in India before we came to Paris.’
‘Hills? I didn’t know India had hills.’
‘We have the Himalayas,” I had replied. ‘The highest mountains in the world.’
She stopped dead.
‘You’ve got to be kidding! The highest mountains are in America.’
That expression of absolute certainty is etched into my memory even today.
Twenty years later, when I met her again in New York, I reminded her of that conversation. We couldn’t stop ourselves from laughing.
So anyway that afternoon we went home, and I opened my Philips Atlas and showed her the Himalayas.
‘You know,’ she said thoughtfully, ‘ I’d always wondered about that weird name. I just assumed it was some Native American name.’
A few weeks later, in geography class, while studying the Alps, our teacher announced they were the highest mountains in the world.
My newly enlightened friend proudly corrected her.
‘Actually, the Himalayas are.’
The teacher shot me a look that instantly identified the culprit behind this inconvenient fact.
Then, without missing a beat, she recovered.
‘Yes… but the Himalayas are the newest highest mountains. The Alps were the oldest highest mountains.’
Case closed.
At fourteen, I learnt one of life’s great lessons: The West doesn’t just write history, geography, science. It often decides it.
If something is ancient, extraordinary or foundational, somehow it must have originated in Europe or at the very least be explained through a European lens.
The Rig Veda became “Aryan.” A Middle Eastern Jew named Jesus acquired blond hair and blue eyes.
Even Panini, at one point, seemed to belong to everyone except India.
Now, apparently, Panini is Pakistani.
Progress, I suppose.
From ‘ that’s impossible’ to ‘it was ours all along.’
The script changes. The narrator doesn’t.

The intentional plotted weaponization of Wikipedia against India and Hindus to spread lies and hate is being uncovered and should never have been allowed!🇮🇳🇺🇸
@airtelindia does anyone care to respond to the complaints? My airtel xtream connection isn't working since 03 April, raised a complaint. Agent visited & said power needs to be reduced. He has forwarded the request - but nothing happened and the issue isn't resolved. Frustrating
