@arindam___paul have the whole truth unflavoured isolate like medicine, for 2 weeks. You'll get used to it, and won't be able to have the flavoured, sweetened ones again
@bhogleharsha If it's ok for a bowler (as it should be) to run out the non striker for backing up too far, shouldn't it also be ok for a batter to try to gain advantage by backing up to take quick singles? Why stigmatise it either way.
In baseball, its art form to 'steal' a base
@banglani@dakuwithchaku There's also a practical consideration. You can play golf for 5 hours a day. Tennis only for an hour a day, assuming decent fitness
For someone who doesn't need to work, golf gainfully occupies a larger part of the day, till a more advanced age
@banglani I recall this happening with Sri Lanka, where a bunch of players who had been around for long (Jayasurya, DeSilva, Ranatunga and co), overnight transformed into world beaters in ODIs
@amitvarma For perspective, Kohli's T20I strike rate is similar to or higher than all our top order bats: Rohit, Shikhar, KL, Iyer. Higher than Pant's so far.
I'm all for packing the T20 side with bigger hitters. But Kohli's position won't be the first in question, at least basis stats
@amitvarma Kohli's career strike rate in T20Is is similar to Rohit's. With a substantially higher average. And it's been fairly consistent across years.. No recent drop. While anecdotally it seems he scores slowly, but the numbers don't bear that out. At least in T20 international games
@banglani Possibly a way to generate credibility. Shopkeepers may tend to mistrust newfangled propositions. Seeing the brand on TV, that too during IPL, makes it look like a big trustworthy company. Not a fly by night operator.
@banglani If we play 5 bowlers & one wicket keeper, there is only place for 5 batsmen - Mayank, Shaw, Pujara, kohli, rahane (who is v. captain). So, only way Vihari plays is if he edges out one of the openers, or one of the spinners (Jadeja?)
Def no case for leaving out one of the openers
@banglani Really bizarre. Shammi looked like he'll take another wicket or two, when he got replaced by the 5th bowler, while the ball was still new! Will get swept under the carpet now that we managed a win.
@annkur You're voting for a candidate. Please pick the best one. And don't vote for a criminal / goonda of any party. Unlike in the US presidential system, we aren't picking a PM directly. In vast majority of elections in India, the PM only emerges post election. Is often unknown before
