At Bharat Innovates 2026, Sarvam AI, a Bharat Innovates Innovator announces the first close of its USD 300 million Series B round, raising USD 234 million at a valuation of USD 1.5 billion. The round saw participation from @HCLTech and @Bessemer Venture Partners, alongside continued backing from @Khosla Ventures and @Peak XV Partners. The funding will support Sarvam's mission to build sovereign AI models, compute infrastructure, and deployment capabilities, further strengthening India's position in the global AI ecosystem.

The investment further strengthens India's leadership in the global artificial intelligence ecosystem and promotes the objectives of Bharat Innovates, an initiative of Ministry of Education, Government of India.

1️⃣ Launch of @DGFTIndia's E-Commerce Export Handbook for MSMEs which will give further boost to Bharat’s exports:

🔸A game-changer in global market access, the handbook is a one-stop guide that will help small businesses to soar globally through strategic e-commerce exports & unlock vast opportunities in global markets.

🔸The handbook is currently available in English, Hindi, Gujarati & Kannada, which will soon be translated into other regional languages.

2️⃣ In principle approval for the extension of the benefit of Remission of Duties or Taxes on Export Products (RoDTEP) Scheme to courier exports to help the MSME sector to leverage Govt schemes for boosting e-commerce exports.

3️⃣ Signing of MoU between DGFT & Shiprocket, an e-commerce enabler for holding capacity building & handholding sessions.
