The introduction of decentralised small-scale water treatment systems is part of the solution to address climate change-induced water scarcity in Libya.

As part of our emergency response for water supply in the flood affected areas, UNICEF has installed two RO (reverse osmosis) water treatment plants in Al Mkhili and El Ezzeiat #Derna

Each plant produces 30,000 liters of drinking water per hour, ready to serve 1️⃣0️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ people including 3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ children.
