Shibu Soren took a 50 lac bribe to save the Congress govt. The case was so open & shut that a judge even ordered his bribe to be taxed. But the Supreme Court let him off as bribes came under Parliamentary privilege.
Yesterday, Mr Soren was posthumously awarded the Padmabhushan.
Many such cases.
Team building events and offsites optimize solely for one specific personality type.
Rare is the leader who designs team events in ways that work for the multitude of personalities that exist on every team.
@srinualavilli@BMTC_BENGALURU Karnataka govt must allow private AC shuttle services. It will take load off from govt bus services. And bring good service to end users who are ready to pay premium.
Gen Z Cockroach:
"We need to get back to Ballot Papers. I'm an IT Professional.
-> I can HACK EVM easily by 3 codes. It is coded by Python Full Stack"😭
Drug dealers are definitely doing overtime around Jantar Mantar🤣
IMO, India needs to create a dedicated sovereign "Cyber AI" program under MeitY/CERT-In/IndiaAI with good funding, compute quotas, and classified tracks for cyber defence.
Cyber foundational models are a must. DRDO with BharatGen can be tasked on building one.
Meanwhile, scanning and cyber hardening of critical infrastructure and IT systems that affect millions, by incentivizing (by the way of nationwide competition) many Indian white hat hackers, and by using existing AI enabled security tools needs to be undertaken.
The above is a no-brainer and, I think, is a must-do starting immediately. There must be no excuse to keep websites insecure or leave any IT systems of govt orgs with vulnerabilities.
India can manage any direct military threat that emerges in the next few years. Adversaries will not dare escalating beyond a point kinetically.
Hence, I believe, it's the Infowar and Cyberwar domains which will be used attack and weaken India in the next few years, politically first and militarily next.
@shuvabrata Software security has high upfront cost (time, resources etc). Many of mid size startups (or even large companies) will not invest enough. Not an excuse. But this is what happens today.
@shuvabrata About 10 years back, I asked an ethical hacker, how does he report any security issue if finds on govt infra. He replied that he doesn't. It wasn't worth going through complicated hierarchy. Not sure if it is still same state. Mostly yes.
I can understand that at your age, sixty-two may sound, or even look, awfully elderly. But for someone in their sixties, it is, in truth, a new beginning.
There is freedom from the grind of work, or at the very least, a gentler pace. The primary responsibilities towards children have largely been fulfilled.
For the first time, life can begin to centre around oneself, unless, of course, one is caring for ageing parents, in which case responsibility merely changes form rather than disappears.
It is, of course, a blessing when children make the effort to visit, include you in their lives and celebrations. As it should be, both ways. Bonds must be nurtured, not assumed.
However, if one’s spouse is no longer around, then companionship takes a different shape.
A few good friends, some extended family, can offer warmth, laughter, and a sense of continuity.
A film together, a shared meal, books long waiting to be read, or hobbies deferred for years, all of these quietly open up space for a life that is still rich and engaging.
What I have learnt, perhaps most importantly, is this: even if one is blessed with the most caring sons and daughters, financial independence is non-negotiable.
That alone removes a great deal of stress and uncertainty, and allows one the dignity to live on one’s own terms.
And yes, one must learn to be at ease in one’s own company. To build a life that is self-sustaining.
This is, after all, the prime of your children’s lives and they must go out and make their own way.
Yet, if the core family has remained close, they do return to check in, to care, to stay connected.
After all, even as the nest empties, it is rarely abandoned.
We’re going to need a few days to recover from this one… 😮💨
2 men under 2 hours. 3 men breaking the world record.
We have officially entered the new era of marathon running 🫳🎤
Cheese from India makes its mark globally…
India made an impressive debut at the Mundial do Queijo do Brasil 2026, which is a vibrant international competition for cheese and dairy products. Four Indian products won medals, including 1 Super Gold, 2 Golds and 1 Silver.
The Super Gold was won by Eleftheria Gulmarg (Brie Style), the Golds were won by Yak Churpi-Soft, Nordic Farm, Leh, Ladakh and Eleftheria Brunost (Whey Cheese) while the Silver was won by Eleftheria Kaali Miri (Belper Knolle Style). Congratulations to Mausam Narang and Thenlay Nurboo.
Such successes strengthen India’s artisanal dairy sector on the world stage.
We should also see this as gdp loss for country where folks in early to mid 20s are wasting up to four years just preparing for exams in which majority of them will fail.
I’m an introvert. I naturally crave peace and quiet. Too much noise, stimulation, or social interaction overwhelms me. But I grew up in a world that rewards extroversion. If you’re not loud, outgoing, don't express yourself, people assume something is wrong with you. So I learned to perform. To be more social. More energetic. More available. More “on.” And I suffered in silence.
That’s why a slow life means so much to me. It’s not just a philosophy. It’s a rebellion against everything we’ve been taught is “normal.” A slow life is a way that actually fits your soul. A life lived at your own pace. A simple, peaceful, meaningful life. And after years of pretending to be someone else, there is nothing more healing than finally becoming yourself.
I have no problem eating alone, traveling alone, doing everything alone. People act like that’s sad. You know what’s actually sad? Never doing anything because you couldn’t find someone to come with you.
A final-year law student, Rishi Kumar from Tamil Nadu National Law University, refuses to delete his blog criticising the Supreme Court… despite pressure from his own university.
Why?
Because the administration allegedly received calls from advocates, judges, and others claiming the post harms the institution’s “reputation.”
The blog titled “The Supreme Court of India Has No Spine” questioned the court’s decision to ban an NCERT textbook chapter on judicial corruption.
But here’s the real issue:
A law student is being told to silence himself… for expressing a legal opinion.
His response?
Clear and powerful:
“My opinions are mine… you do not own my voice or my conscience.”
He even said he’s ready to face disciplinary action rather than back down.
This isn’t just about one blog.
This is about academic freedom vs institutional pressure.
If law students… the future of the judiciary are discouraged from questioning the system,
then who exactly is allowed to question it?
Criticism of institutions ≠ disrespect.
Silencing criticism = weakening democracy.
Who decides these criteria and why do they think IRCTC should have such strong passwords!! Even my banks require less secure passwords!!
You are a train booking site bro… good morning.
Dear @narendramodi. Every nation has images of greats on its currency - Darwin, Austen, Dickens, Faraday, in the case of UK. Only we have Mahatma Gandhi and no one else. Can't understand this stubbornness.
We demand others - Raman, Dinkar, Ramanujan, Bose, Vivekananda, Kalam.
If law hadn’t caught up with him, he would have continued the fraud, ‘felicitated’ at random conclaves and got speaking gigs at talking forums and swindled more gullible investors
