Banta kay Pang. Bongbong Marcos Jr. at kaniyang pamilya ang sinasabing ‘Oplan Romanov’ at hindi kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

Sabi sa DZRH News ni dating NBI Director Jaime Santiago, unang lumabas ang termino sa bibig ni Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte sa isang rally noong Enero 2024.

Binalaan aniya ni Duterte ang Pangulo na bago siya matulog, isipin niya si Romanov at ang nangyari sa kanilang pamilya noong 1986.

Nagulat daw si Santiago nang magbago ang naratibo, at banggitin ng isang vlogger na si Princess Maui, na plano ang Oplan Romanov para patayin ang Duterte family.

Matatandang sa impeachment trial nitong Martes, tinanong ni defense panel member lawyer Mark Vinluan ang witness na si NBI Regional Director Jeremy Lotoc kung narinig niya ang salitang Operation Romanov.

Hango ito sa Romanovs ng Russia, isang royal clan na namuno noong 17th Century hanggang sa kanilang execution noong 1917.

Pero sinagot din ni Lotoc na narinig niya ang termino kay Baste at ginamit bilang warning o babala kay Pang. Marcos.
