भारत रत्न राजीव गाँधी जी की जयंती पर हमने उन्हें भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित कर, उनके अतुलनीय योगदान को याद किया।

प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में शानदार कामकाज से उन्होंने दुनिया के शीर्ष नेताओं में अपनी जगह बनाई।

21वीं सदी के भारत के निर्माण में राजीव जी ने अद्वितीय भूमिका का निर्वाह किया।

वे डिजिटल इंडिया के शिल्पकार थे। उनके दूरसंचार और आईटी क्रांति व कंप्यूटरीकरण कार्यक्रम ने भारत को दुनिया के अग्रिम पंक्ति के देशों में खड़ा किया और लाखों युवाओं को रोज़गार मिला।

उनके कई हस्तक्षेप जैसे मतदान की उम्र कम करना, पंचायती राज को मजबूत करना, निरंतर शांति समझौते कर सद्भाव स्थापित करना, लोकतंत्र की मज़बूती का माध्यम बनें। आज जब देश पंचायती राज स्थापित होने के 30 साल मना रहा है, तब हमें सोचना होगा कि कितने अनगिनत लोगों को इस दूरगामी कदम से राजनीति में प्रवेश मिला।

राजीवजी ने समाज के सभी तबकों के कल्याण को ध्यान में रख कर अपने शासनकाल में 11 नीतियां बनायी। इसमें नयी शिक्षा नीति, आवास नीति, नई स्वास्थ्य नीति, नयी सिंचाई नीति प्रमुख है। कई संस्थाओं की स्थापना की। पीने का पानी, टीकाकरण, साक्षरता, बाढ़ नियंत्रण, खाने के तेल, दुग्ध उत्पादन और टेलीकॉम पर टेक्नालाजी मिशन बनाया।

एक सच्चे देशभक्त को हम नमन करते हैं।

Rajiv Gandhi was a great son of India.

He was a leader who inspired hope among millions of Indians.

As we observe Sadbhavana Diwas today, it is pertinent to remember his vast contributions which propelled India into the 21st Century.

His numerous interventions such as lowering of voting age to 18 years, strengthening of Panchayati Raj, Telecom and IT revolution, computerisation programme, sustained peace accords, universal immunisation programme and a new education policy with emphasis on inclusive learning brought transformative changes in the country.

We pay our deepest respects to Rajiv Gandhi ji on his birth anniversary.
