@YoAdrienne1968@throwem_out If more people stood up to government overreach, none of us would have been forced to take anything.
The reason the unvaccinated are annoyed is because too many people blindly trust in their government, and doing that puts us all at risk of coercion.
@RobertFife Truth is Canadians and Conservatives alike are not nearly angry enough.
Our government has abandoned its basic duty of responsible government for Canadians.
@MarkJCarney You forgot to mention climate change! Isn’t this usually when the Liberals tell us everything is our fault and use it to push their climate agenda?
Sam Altman:
"We're going to see 10-person billion-dollar companies pretty soon."
"If I were 22 right now, I'd feel like the luckiest kid in history."
Most people will read this, feel inspired for 3 minutes, and go back to what they were doing.
The ones who act will build a one-person company this weekend.
One tool. Claude Cowork. Full operation.
This is the exact playbook ↓
@hicasamadim It’s 72. The commonality between the first two is a multiplication of the top (2x2 and 5x5) then multiple that outcome by 2, giving you 8 and 50. Therefore the bottom is 36x2 =72
“Diversify our exports, reduce emissions, and give investors certainty” is banker-speak for “skim fees off industry through carbon credits and green finance while calling it sustainability.” Canadians get higher costs, our industries become less competitive globally, and Carney gets a pat on the back from wealthy globalists who produce nothing.
The Liberals are floating a sovereign wealth fund funded by borrowed money, with costs apparently not calculated.
Beautiful. Only Ottawa could look at a maxed-out credit card and say, “You know what this needs? An investment portfolio.”
A real sovereign wealth fund is built from surplus wealth. Oil revenues. Resource profits. Trade surpluses. Actual money. You save first, invest second. That is the adult sequence.
The Liberal version appears to be: borrow first, brand it second, explain it never.
And Carney is supposed to be the serious banker in the room? This is not fiscal discipline. This is financial theatre with a Bay Street accent.
Canada does not need another shiny fund, agency, council, secretariat, board, framework, advisory panel, or “nation-building vehicle.” We need growth, productivity, energy development, lower taxes, fewer delays, and a government that knows the difference between capital and debt.
Borrowed money is not wealth.
It is future taxation wearing a suit.
Yes, oil and gas may only represent 4 percent directly, but cheap, reliable energy underpins almost every productive sector in the country. Manufacturing, mining, transportation, construction, agriculture, and even real estate all depend on it. A nation cannot sustain a hgh standard of living by simply circulating money between lawyers, teachers, real estate/insurance agents, consultants, and government workers. Someone still has to produce, build, extract, refine, transport, and export real things to the world., Strong industry is what keeps the rest of the economy standing.
@PierrePoilievre Unfortunately, there is no such political will in Canada. Greenwashing carbon schemes that benefit zero sum corporations will continue to be prioritized over actually building the infrastructure needed to produce affordable, reliable energy and strengthen Canadian industry.

The efficiency of a nation’s energy supply is directly tied to its standard of living.
I generally like the PM’s announcement. I just hope this is not tied to another quasi-green carbon penalty scheme that enriches zero-sum companies, but a real effort to unleash industry and build.
@KevinABWhite@chrisw_ottawa@sarobertson_ Good, climate targets are pure theatre. The industry will move to renewables as technology evolves. The government can only do so much to influence that pace of change.
@chrisw_ottawa@sarobertson_ That’s not really a surprise. The sun is 99.999999% of all energy in our solar system. The trouble is we haven’t harnessed it yet in a way that is reliable and affordable. Eventually we will, but for now we need to be grounded in reality.
