22 January 1938 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Vera Matteman, was born in Amsterdam.
In September 1943 she was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber after selection.
Congratulations to @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris, and to everyone who’s helped turn the page and make history today! Now, we’ve got a new chance to build a country that works for everyone—and we’ve got to seize that opportunity.
@AuschwitzMuseum (1/3)This poor little baby was the son of Achille, born 26-08-1885 and Alice, fate unknown to me. Claude was deported together with his father.
He had a sister Odette who survived (she passed away 30-04-2012).
They lived in Lyon and were 'arrested' on 05-11-1944.

@AuschwitzMuseum (1/3) Jozef or JoJo as he sometimes was called, was only 4 year 'old'. 😢
He was the son of Izaäk, born 24-09-1909 and Hillechina Rosina (Hilly) nee van der Laan, born 18-04-1914.
They lived in Noordbroek where Izaäk had his butchery.
Izaäk died 01-08-1942 in Auschwitz.

On Trump's last full day in office, a federal court has struck down EPA's Affordable Clean Energy rule, a major blow for his climate deregulatory agenda.
It's pretty good news for Biden though, as it clears a path for his own regulation of power plants. More on @POLITICOPro

Tomorrow hope begins. Tomorrow the repair work begins. Don't focus on the size of the inauguration. Focus on the thirty-five words & the magesty as Donald Trump shuffles off in ignominy. The winner writes history.
