@MommaLynch24 I usually save this for #MarshawnMonday to get my week started, but also for when the haters come out. This guy matters a lot to a lot of people.
Congrats to the OU baseball team for homering its way into the World Series finals vs UNC. Sooners have been even hotter in Nebraska than Barry Switzer’s teams once were.
75 years ago today: OU baseball won the 1951 national championship.
The Sooners defeated Tennessee in the championship game, 3-2, to become the first team in CWS history to roll through the double-elimination tournament without a loss.
Head coach Jack Baer said years later: "We just weren't a great team, but everybody worked hard. We had a couple of good hitters and two good pitchers, three really."
Along with the baseball title, OU also won the football and wrestling national championships, giving the Sooners the distinction of being the first school to win three titles in one school year.
