Happy Friday! 😎 Why not settle down with your afternoon cuppa and watch @FootballRadar alumni @njlbenn's talk earlier this year at @Scala_Central - "Another round for Rafael - Type-safe builder pattern in Scala revisited" @scala_lang https://t.co/UDgcfu5dm6
With Tasks Early Access rolling out now, Ian goes behind the scenes with Michele, to see how Tasks has improved her workflow...and to hint at things to come🧐

Basically I hope people take a moment to check out the "Moving from Scala 2 to Scala" course (https://t.co/HSsHvJ7qcb) from @LunatechLabs@lootser@rbn_raj and also to basically check out all of @S11001001 's talks and articles 🙂
Paying homage to the Compall-Michael pattern, and anticipating Scala 3 Opaque Types- new awesome blog post of @njlbenn about the migration from Scala 2 to 3 🙌#lunatech#scala3#scala https://t.co/HdackLpm8T
I don't know who needs to hear this, but unless you are providing an online form for registering new births, it feels like pre-filling the DOB field with the current year is a mistake. Newborns probably aren't going to be creating new accounts with you.
Pity I'll probably not get to see any of these plays. Would love to see The Whip, story of how the national debt owed to former slave owners was only repaid in 2015. (So that stuff is all in the past, eh? Reparations is a crazy idea, eh?)

Sadly this is also one of the things we will remember the 2010s for -- a sharp rise in homelessness. And with another 5 years of Tory government I'm not optimistic for the 2020s ending this trend. https://t.co/ylfAWMZ4vO
Of course this would all be simpler if @audible_com would just make stuff available across the stores (especially in this case since what I am trying to get is an Audible Original!!! e.g. to my knowledge Netflix Originals are available everywhere?)
So I have a bunch of credits on my @AudibleFr but when I log into @audibleuk those credits disappear. Does anyone know any tricks for transferring credits?
@FionaSturges Hmm, no doesn't work. But thanks for the link @FionaSturges. I'm going to have to try a workaround as if I'm accessing it from the UK. One day maybe we'll be able to share content easily across borders 😔.
This has been coming across my feed today and I'm trying to find the podcast series but no luck 🤔. Is this a stupid case of Audible being different in France? 🤔
It's Monday (and my last day of work) so here's today's @FT column on @Bonn1eGreer's expansive and elegant new podcast In Search of Black History, which seeks to rectify the partial picture that we've been given of our collective history. https://t.co/UWHMUTaWTi
Hey. We’re new to Twitter. To open our account, we’ve analysed what MPs earned - in addition to their salaries - in the last Parliament. MPs declare such earnings, but in a super unstructured way. So, we’ve written some code to create a neat dataset of all their declarations.
Wondering how someone on Question Time can say they earn more than £80k a year yet not understand they're a top earner? It's not as surprising as you'd think. As this chart shows, the more money you earn, the higher you set the bar for where "rich" starts https://t.co/0X8JAtoeSw
@Jammin_to_Jimin @stevie_mat 😟 but it seems that you want to have it both ways though -- you want today to proudly celebrate the cultural heritage bequeathed to you by your ancestors but at the same time conveniently leave their "mistakes" in the past and not have it brought up?
