🇸🇩 Sudan Trademark Renewal Update
The Sudanese Trademark Office has resumed strict enforcement of late renewal penalties under Article 19(3) of the Trade Marks Act, 1969.
Trademark owners should note:
✔️ A six-month grace period remains available after the registration expires.
✔️ The prescribed late renewal fee is now mandatory during this period.
✔️ The previous practice of accepting late renewals without penalties has officially ended.
To avoid additional fees and potential disruption to trademark protection, rights holders are advised to review their portfolios and renew registrations on time.
