🌿 Nature has a superpower — and New Jersey is using it! 🌿
Carbon sequestration is the process of capturing CO2 from the atmosphere and storing it so it doesn't contribute to climate change. Through forests, wetlands, and preserved open spaces, plants absorb CO2 during photosynthesis and lock it away, acting as natural carbon sinks that benefit us all! 🌱
But that's not all, these natural solutions don't just fight climate change, they also filter harmful air pollutants like particulate matter and ozone, improving the air we breathe every single day. Healthier ecosystems mean healthier communities across the entire state! 💚

It makes sense to continue to develop renewable resources, electrify the economy, and invest in electric vehicles, so there’s less dependence on fossil fuels.

Today's release of the Sustainable Energy in America 2026 Factbook by BloombergNEF and BCSE shows trends that are likely to continue, ones that we can plan for, by investing in technology, innovation, and manufacturing, even as "far-reaching policies" have been "unpredictable".
Climate change warnings in the Oval Office date to 1969. Today's repeal of the "endangerment finding" is detrimental to environmental and human health and could hinder presidents from taking impactful steps to fight climate change for the foreseeable future.
