@bbcgahuza That is why in #Rwanda & elsewhere education should have tried to go ODeL. @RwandaEducation@MutimuraEugene Very nice policies & strategies, but practices have been sluggish. With ODeL, schools would close, but learning would continue as it'd be independent from physical contact.
Disability is not inability; @USAmbRwanda Look forward to exploring the policy on inclusive education in Rwanda and its implementation strategic plan, particularly in Online and open learning. @VVOBvzw@VVOBrwanda@REBRwanda@Rwanda_Edu
Absolutely @mweller - great comment #powerful. Also applicable to the role education can/should/can't play in addressing intergenerational, structural injustices
Is it possible to talk about diversity, equity and inclusion in @GOGN_OER without talking social justice? How do we talk about these concepts as a way to address historical inter-generational injustices and equities? Do we just kiss and make up? #IDontThinkSo
Great start to a two-day conference in Nairobi organised by @GOGN_OER - focused on diversity, equity and inclusion - who has a voice? Who is included/excluded? Who has the power to define "inclusion", "diversity" and "equitable"? #JustThinking
Inclusion may be on diverse opinions and voices while equity include removing barriers to access, equal opportunities and catering for different needs, and is a continuing process @GOGN_OER .
Types of education, levels of education, language, culture, religion, gender, discipline diversity, etc. all need to be considered to achieve diversity in @GOGN_OER
It was interesting training designed by VVOB so as to enable us to learn ICT. So far, this has enabled me to get familiar with Microsoft Word, Power point presentations, Microsoft Excel and blended learnig @VVOBvzw@VVOBrwanda@REBRwanda@Rwanda_Edu#ready4elearning
