@GogoMoyoSpeaks Epilepsy can be congenital (born with it) or acquired. And mostly it's not curable but can be medically managed. There has been some interventional therapies mentioned before but they were not shown to be better than medical treatment.

I think the first distinction we need to make is between a fit and epilepsy. The former is a symptom whilst the latter is an illness. Multiple things can cause a fit, like drugs, alcohol, trauma,infections,fever etc. Epilepsy is caused by an imbalance in the brain.
