Exactly! And thanks for saying this. But I fear Carney may be right. To think we voted Trudeau in not once but three times and then the same party with its advisor Carney as a leader when we had a perfectly superior alternative in PP is unforgivable folly. Don't we deserve to suffer!?!

And his arguments held up under serious scrutiny.

I'm remain very skeptical Mr. Black that Canada is making a real turn under Carney. One example, the trans mountain pipeline: Kinder morgan was building it for $5 billion. Trudeau would not provide rule-of-law to make building it possible. So Government built it for what? $45 billion. The new proposed pipeline to Asia now follows the same route. It is expected to cost $35 billion more because some CO2 will be sequestered. So the second $5 billion pipeline is now estimated to cost $70 or $80 billion. It will certainly cost more. No other oil producing nation is requiring this of its industry. It will never pay for itself. Nor, as you Mr. Black have argued so well, make a stitch of difference to the climate. This is Carney's flagship idea of how to kickstart our economy? Hopeless. In the face of such nonsense, the best hope the rest of Canada has for recovery is Alberta leaving and showing the way in traditional conservative fashion. No longer subsidized by Alberta, Quebec and other provinces will be driven to develop their own economies. They could do this by simply following Alberta's example. Free at last, Alberta could show the way.
