North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) has announced a Second Incident in nearly 48 Hours, during which a Pair of Russian Military Aircraft, reported in this case to have been Tu-142 “Bear F/J” Maritime Surveillance and Anti-Submarine Aircraft with the Russian Navy, were Detected and Tracked within the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) over the North Pacific. The Aircraft remained over International Waters and did not cross into U.S. or Canadian Airspace during their Flight, with them being Tracked until they Exited the Alaskan ADIZ.

45 citizens of India have been dismissed from the Russian army "who were misled while enlisting," – Indian Foreign Ministry.

45 Indian citizens have been dismissed from the Russian army ahead of schedule, Indian authorities are seeking the dismissal of another 50 men. The corresponding information was reported by NDTV TV channel with reference to the Foreign Ministry of the country.

The issue of early dismissal of Indians, who were misled when enlisting in the Russian Armed Forces, was discussed in mid-July by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Russian dictator Putin.

At that time, 10 Indians returned home from the army. The Indian Foreign Ministry reported that 35 to 50 Indian citizens were serving in the Russian army.

In the spring of 2024, Indian authorities said they had uncovered a network of recruiters who "lured" Indian citizens to Russia with promises of jobs, enrollment in private universities and help with free visa renewal, and later their passports were taken away and these people ended up in the war zone in Ukraine. According to NDTV, about a hundred Indian nationals have been caught up in this situation. Four people are known to have died.

An interesting report appeared on Telegram channels close to the Russian authorities - that Russian tax authorities have taken an interest in the employees of propagandist Vladimir Solovyev's media projects - they are checking for possible "unreported income".

This is about income received from publications on affiliated Telegram channels and pages on social media. So-called "native advertising" is regularly placed on these channels, and custom-made, paid publications are published. The investigation is in progress whether taxes were paid to the state treasury on these revenues.

It is claimed that "very large-scale" checks are already underway against members of Solovyev's "team", and their results may turn out to be "quite unexpected".

If the information about the tax audits is confirmed, it will be the first case of legal prosecution by the Russian authorities of the propagandists that serve Russia's regime.

Why does the Kremlin need this? There might be several possible reasons:

▪️ The Kremlin did not like the way Solovyev-controlled resources covered the course of the war in general and the events in Russia's Kursk region in particular.
▪️ After the global cleansing in the Russian defense ministry, the Kremlin has started cleansing media resources working for the authorities.
▪️ The tax audit is just the beginning. The fall of Al Capone, for example, started precisely with a conviction for tax evasion.
▪️ The cleansing started with the chief Russian propagandist, so that the rest would be more obedient.

Today, we completed another exchange. 103 Ukrainian defenders have been returned from Russian captivity. Many of these men have been held since 2022 – from the first months of the war. These include warriors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, border guards, police officers, and soldiers from other elements of our Defense and Security Forces.

Among them are defenders from the Kyiv and Donetsk regions, including Mariupol and Azovstal, as well as other parts of the regions. Some were captured in Kharkiv and Kherson regions as well. Some of the men are in serious condition due to injuries, and all will receive the necessary care.

I want to thank our exchange team for their work. And my deep gratitude to all our brave combat brigades who continue to contribute to the "exchange fund" for our country. In particular, the recent operation in the Kursk region gave us the necessary momentum.
