AI won't replace rappers, especially in Africa. Culture here is driven by lived experience, community, language and identity. They can model the sound but can't copy the soul.
AI rap is harder to spot technically but it falls apart on cultural context. Cadence without depth.

Our role is to connect great music with its audience the right way. Thank you for being part of this.

@Kai_InTheKut If copyright infringement can be proven, yes. Otherwise it sets unworkable precedents & breaks creator neutrality. The economic reality is that DSPs are marketplaces driven by consumer engagement.Thatโs why most are moving toward labeling, policy & monetisation rules, not removal.
The instinct is valid. But the industry has shifted to regulated adoption. If a track doesnโt infringe copyright/impersonate someone, it canโt just be removed. The fight now is that artists arenโt just competing for attention anymore, theyโre competing with prompts/bots for income.
Kicking off 2026 with a partnership I'm proud of: @SyncDiscovery ร Concept Records.
