Michael Burry, the investor behind The Big Short, is warning AI and semiconductor stocks could fall 30%. He says the chip rally looks like the 2000 dot-com bubble, with the semiconductor index stretched above its 200-day average at levels not seen since 2000.

@Write4Republic The problem with saying “people who live off the government should not vote” is that it would also apply to judges, politicians, police officers, firefighters, teachers, postal workers, active-duty military, veterans, and government contractors.
The most overvalued market in 100 years.
Retail is still buying like nothing is wrong.
100 YEARS.
Samuel Benner predicted this in 1875.
But this pattern has NEVER failed.
100 out of 100 years showed the same thing:
The S&P 500 is already following it.
→ Dot-com bubble
→ Housing bubble
→ AI bubble
And SpaceX is the final liquidity event before it all breaks.
Keep in mind: I’ve called every major market top and bottom for over 10 YEARS.
I was one of the only people who called the top in October, and I’ll do it again.
That’s literally my job.
If you still haven’t followed me, you’ll regret it.
⚠️The US stock market has NEVER been this expensive:
The US equity market valuation has now reached the highest level on record.
This includes P/E, forward P/E, Shiller P/E, Price-to-Book, Price-to-Sales, EV/EBITDA, Q ratio, Warren Buffett indicator, and Return on Equity (RoE).
This combined metric is now higher than previous peaks seen before the Great Depression in 1929, or at the 2000 Dot-Com Bubble peak.
Historically, such periods have followed years of US stock market underperformance.
Is history set to repeat, or will the US equity market continue to thrive?
Unprofitable companies are outperforming the market:
Russell 2000 companies with negative earnings per share (EPS) have returned +60% since April 2025.
At the same time, firms with positive EPS have gained +38%.
As a result, the Russell 2000 has rallied +48%, ranking among the best-performing major equity indices.
By comparison, the S&P 500 has risen +38% while the Nasdaq 100 has surged +58%.
The outperformance accelerated in April, as investors rushed into small-cap tech stocks following the Iran-US ceasefire announced on April 7th.
Investors are rewarding AI exposure over profitability.
Warren Buffett passed on Amazon’s IPO in 1997.
A $1 MILLION investment back then would be worth roughly $3.28 BILLION today.
Buffett later called it one of the biggest mistakes of his career.
