Last week, I was fortunate to visit the workshop (the Tamil word pattarai பட்டறை is so appropriate) of the leading motor designer in the world Morihiro Saito-san.

Saito-san is 80+ and still designing advanced motors, some of the most advanced in the world. His modest looking workshop is right next door to a company that builds out those motors in prototype quantities and he works closely with them to get them built. I visited as an industrial "pilgrim", with as much devotion as I go to the Thoranamalai Murugan Temple at home. When I saw him at work, I was moved to touch his feet.

Saito-san, the God of motors, is how Japan is able to retain its global prominence in so many foundational industries.

We need to learn from that spirit. We need to revive our "pattarai" culture of building things - every village in India needs such workshops!

Absolutely remarkable

All five Indian students who participated in the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) 2026 in Colombia, won Gold!
Placing India joint #1 in the world alongside China, Kazakhstan, Russia, South Korea and Taiwan, among 381 students from 87 countries.

The champions:

Rishit Garg — New Delhi
Shresth Suraiya — Mumbai
Svarit Joshi — Ahmedabad

And this comes without the kind of vast, state-organised apparatus that some countries deploy to nurture Olympiad talent.

We’re fortunate to have the dedication of the scientists, teachers and mentors at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, who have built a world-class Olympiad programme with only modest resources.

But, at the end of the day, the driving force is the raw talent, curiosity & hunger to succeed of these remarkable young minds.

I want to say thank you to these Olympians & to everyone who has helped shape their journey for making me so optimistic about India’s future.

Gautam Adani stands vindicated - wins US SEC Criminal Prosecution on Merits as US Prosecutors seek to close their case permanently.

United States DOJ has filed a 10 page filing before Federal Judge stating they do not wish to prosecute the Adani for various reasons, even going so far as to say that the case itself should never have been filed for lack of evidence.

Further states that no loss caused to any US investment house.

Most significant aspect is that this will be a “with-prejudice” closure of the case - which means this issue can never be reopened against the Adani Group.

Final ruling likely on 13th July - should be a mere formality before the US Court permits permanent closure of this case.

Egg on the face of certain corrupt individuals who maliciously targeted Adani.

US Department of Justice has officially admitted that the criminal case against Gautam Adani should never have been brought.

In its July 4 filing, the DOJ stated that the indictment was a “name-and-shame” exercise with no realistic prospect of trial. It further recorded that Indian authorities found “no actionable misconduct” and that investors did not lose a single penny on the securities in question.

The impact was immediate. Adani Group companies lost nearly $55 billion in market value within days as panic spread across the markets. Retail investors holding shares through mutual funds and direct equity bore the brunt of this politically amplified crisis.

The grand temple constructed at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi has become a center of reverence, faith, and devotion for the entire Hindu society, owing to the struggles of generations and the dedication, sacrifice, and martyrdom of crores of Rambhakts. (devotees.) The unfortunate incident of theft in the donation boxes kept at the Shri Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya has deeply hurt the sentiments and faith of the entire society and Ram devotees; we are all extremely pained and angered by this event.

At the earnest request of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the Uttar Pradesh government constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and initiated legal proceedings based on its recommendations. It is essential to ensure that anyone found guilty after the investigation faces severe punishment.

It is natural for the entire Hindu society, including the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, to expect the Trust to treat this highly condemnable incident as an extraordinary matter and take effective steps to rectify all shortcomings in temple management and operations. This is crucial to ensure that the faith and reverence of crores of Ram devotees in the Ayodhya temple remain unbroken and steadfast. The current state of confusion and uncertainty must end. In this regard, we expect the temple management and the government-appointed SIT to take all necessary initiatives. We are confident that through proper financial management, flawless and transparent operational systems, and an atmosphere imbued with purity, sanctity, and true dharmikta, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will continue to strengthen the faith and trust of the Hindu society.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh also calls upon the entire Hindu society to display necessary patience and restraint during this difficult moment and to thwart the conspiracies of anti-Hindu and anti-national forces seeking to malign the Hindu dharma and society by exploiting this unfortunate incident.

Keralam’s Home Minister @chennithala is hosting Kadakampally Surendran, one of the accused in the Sabarimala gold loot case, at his residence.

His party high command did the same. Sonia Gandhi repeatedly met Unnikrishnan Potti, the broker who looted Sabarimala

When it comes to looting Sabarimala and betraying the faith of Ayyappa Vishwasis, Congress and CPM are Randalla Onnanu!

The BJP/NDA will not allow this injustice against Sabarimala and Ayyappa Vishwasis to continue.

The people of Keralam must not allow this betrayal of our faith and the looting of our sacred shrines to continue.

CM @vdsatheesan must respond to the BJP/NDA’s demands:

1️⃣ An immediate CBI probe into the Sabarimala gold loot.

2️⃣ The unconditional withdrawal of all cases against Ayyappa Vishwasis.

If these demands continue to be ignored, the BJP/NDA will launch a peaceful statewide agitation to safeguard the faith, rights and traditions of Ayyappa Vishwasis.
