Did you know? A person who obstructs anyone held in lawful custody from applying for legal aid from #NLAS commits an offence. A court before which a person who cannot afford legal representation is presented should also inform #NLAS to provide legal aid

Children automatically qualify for legal aid offered by #NLAS. In civil cases, application for legal aid for a child can be made by parent, guardian or next friend. In criminal cases a child offender is granted legal aid at all stages of the case.
