Frau Venter represented NLCS at the 75th anniversary celebration of our exchange with the Goethe Gymnasium in Ludwigsburg. Privileged to meet some of the first exchange students from 1949! @NLCS1850
A delightful evening, 50 students from Germany with their teachers visited their pen friends at NLCS, celebrating 75 years of exchange. Fortunate to hear Mrs Brown's impassioned and touching speech. She took part in the 1963 exchange and forged life-long friendships. @NLCS1850
Year 7 have had a great day out at Hampton Court Palace. As well as learning about life at Henry’s palace, we really enjoyed the special temporary exhibition on Indian soldiers who spent time at the palace. @NLCS1850 @HRP_palaces
There are times when a teacher’s heart simply swells with pride. When 2 Y9s beautifully recite poetry in German and Mandarin at a national Modern Languages teacher’s conference. You did @NLCS1850 proud Riya and Emily! @ismla_uk

Fantastic assembly this morning from Mr Holt to kick off Philosophy Week @NLCS1850. Lots for us to ponder, with plenty of key philosophers mentioned; the strident defence of the value and necessity of searching for objective truth struck a chord with the History Department.
Head of History, Dr Van Reyk was delighted to be invited to speak today at teacher training at Eton College about the use of AI in education - all of his examples drew on the exciting things going on in this area @NLCS1850.
